How do I sign up?

First, you will create your "company profile."  After you have completed your company profile you are then asked to join your company as a "member."  You will know complete your "member profile."

What type of videos can I upload on sohobiztube.com?

  • product demonstrations,
  • PR Campaigns, i.e,. contest, goodwill campaigns etc.
  • Cooking demonstrations,
  • Client testimonials,
  • New employee introductions,
  • Service enhancements or announcements,
  • Wine tastings,
  • We've moved announcements and more!

Can I upload video, podcast or other media if I am not a paid member?

No, Only paid members are allowed to upload video, podcast, documents etc., to nationwide brand and position their products and services to other members.

Will sohobiztube.com automatically add "trailers," or advertising to my videos?

No, currently we will not add anything that takes away from your branding, marketing, advertising or PR message.  Videos on sohobiztube.com are your commercials, product demonstrations, PR Campaigns, cooking demonstrations, client testimonials, new employee introductions or service enhancements.  Videos on sohobiztube.com are about your company.

Can I follow people who are not in my network?

Yes, upon clicking "follow" you will have the  "company" added to your "companies followed list."  Note: The "un-follow button" will not appear for companies that have employees in your "members" network.

When I join do I have to be a part of a company?

Yes, unlike other social networking web sites.  Sohobiztube.com brands and position companies who are interested in connecting with other companies.  Our main focus is providing companies with a set of social media tools, services within a social networking site that will assist companies with not only branding and positioning their products and services using video, podcast, documents and other media tools, but also allow them an opportunity to use social networking to connect with other growing companies, i.e., prospects, clients, vendors and organizations.

Will I need separate accounts for everyone who works for my company?

No. With Sohobiztube.com's unique "organization like structure" or "company umbrella,"  when your "company joins," those employed by your company are now members of your company's network.  And those employed by you will now have an opportunity to build their own network under your "company umbrella."

Can non-paid members send emails to members who are not in their network?

You can only Direct Message people in your network.

Do unpaid members have unlimited Direct Messages within their network?

Yes.

How many employees can a company have under its account?

As many employees as you can have on your "organization chart." Sohobiztube.com's organization like structure was designed to allow member companies to demonstrate "growth."  With each employee you as a part of your team and with department you create to meet the needs of your clients, on sohobiztube.com - your clients, vendors and most importantly prospects will see your company "growing." 

Can I recommend people in the company, but not the company itself?
Yes. You can recommend a company because you believe in the quality of their products and services.  Or, you can recommend a person such as a customer service representative, Sales or Account Manager etc., for providing good client services, company resources or information.

Will my Twitter information automatically update my live Twitter account?

Yes. You can update and connect your Twitter Community by simply logging into sohobiztube.com.  You can turn off Twitter updates and only update your sohobiztube.com community without his information being "posted' to your Twitter profile.

Can we "hide" all updates from the public?

This feature will be added to sohobiztube.com soon.  We recognize that a company or its members do not want all updates to be made public. As some company, product or service updates are and should remain private to the "network," and the network only.

What email programs can I import my contacts from?

You can import "invite" people to connect to your sohobiztube.com network via Gmail, Hotmail and Linkedin. Your invites will receive an invitation to their personal email account asking them to accept,  ignore or reject your invitation to become a member of sohobiztube.com

Will it allow me to send an email to all of my contacts or selected contacts?

Currently, all of your imported contacts will be sent an email.

Is my news feed seen only in my network? ( company contact)

Your news feeds/status updates are seen in your network (Twitter turned off) and on Twitter ( Twitter turned on.)

Can I turn off whether I want to receive news feeds?

Currently, no.

If I remove someone from my network, will I remain in theirs?

Good question. This is another unique feature of sohobiztube.com.  If you decide to "remove someone from your sohobiztube.com network," you will in effect remove yourself from their network. This will result in a simultaneous removal of you from their network also. You can remove without notification to the member.

When I request connections is a copy of this request remaining in my Sohobiztube.com mail box?

Yes. Everyone who receives a connection request will receive a copy at their personal email address and also you can view all connections request in your "in box" on sohobiztube.com

Why do I need to Categorize (Tag) My Network?

These relationship tags allows other members within your network to see exactly "how do you know this person." Unlike other networks where the focus is on the  "number of contacts you have," at sohobiztube.com we focus more on "the quality and relationship of your connections," and THEN THE NUMBER." 

This way you are not bothered with someone asking you can you refer or recommend someone you are merely just "connected with."  Our theory is it is better to build "deep connections" vs. building wide reaching "weak connections."

Why don't I see my "Getting to Know You" contacts?

Because we feel that if you are "Getting to Know" someone, this connection should remain private.  Also it encourages the person who is categorized as "Getting To Know," to work towards "building a relationship with you," where you will change the relationship status to Vendor, Customer, Colleague, Friend or Family.

Can I send "Direct Messages" to people outside of my network?

Only paid  members can Direct Message people in and outside of their network.

Can I receive a refund after I join Sohobiztube.com?

No refunds are given.  Please see our policies.

Can anyone change the company profile?

No, only the designated company admin can change a company profile.  We consider this profile to be very important.  Company logos, mission statements, strategic partners, videos etc., are all very important for any company to brand, marketing, advertise and position themselves nationally to their target market.  Like with any "organization like structure." Only the company admin, depending on the size of the company, this person can be the owner, the Marketing, PR, Sales or Advertising Vice President or Manager.  Who ever the "owner designates."

Can my company prevent me from communicating with my contacts/network connections after I leave?

Yes. If you are no longer an employee of the company or an organization, you should notify your contacts before leaving.  The contacts belong to both the member "and the company."  This allows for all contacts to make a choice to stay with the company to continue receiving product, service news updates etc., and not loose their communications with a company the contact is still doing business with.

Do all contact/network connections stay with the company?

Please see the above response.

Are there any size restrictions on uploading videos?

Yes. 100 Megabytes.

You are required to obtain any licensing permissions, etc., for licensed music, content, images, photos used that belong to other artist, photographers etc.  We suggest you contact any artist for permission. Sohobiztube.com will not be responsible for any videos produced by "the company" where you have not received the proper legal  licensing and permissions to use licensed music, art, images or photography.
